Why does reciprocating chlorine compressor need nitrogen protection?

1. Isolation and replacement: completely replace the air in the cylinder and pipeline with nitrogen before starting, so as to avoid the mixture of chlorine and air to form an explosive mixture, and eliminate the risk of explosion after boosting the pressure and raising the temperature after starting.

2. Anti-corrosion and moisture-proof: nitrogen is an inert gas, which can isolate the residual oxygen and moisture inside the equipment, prevent chlorine from generating corrosive medium when it meets water, and slow down the oxidation and corrosion of metal parts.

3. Sealing protection: nitrogen is continuously introduced into the packing cavity during operation, forming a positive pressure isolation barrier to prevent the leakage of toxic chlorine and reduce the risk of field personnel poisoning and environmental leakage.
