What is the function of nitrogen protection system for water-cooled hydrogen sulfide compressor? 

1. Hydrogen sulfide is a toxic and easy-to-oxidize medium. After shutdown, the medium left in the equipment is in contact with air, which is prone to oxidation reaction to generate sulfur and other deposits. Filling nitrogen can isolate the air and reduce the accumulation of oxidation products. 

2. Nitrogen is an inert gas, which can replace the residual hydrogen sulfide in the cylinder and pipeline, reduce the residual concentration of toxic gas during equipment maintenance, and reduce the potential safety hazard of personnel contact poisoning. 

3. Water vapor exists in the pipeline after the water cooling unit is stopped, and hydrogen sulfide is corrosive when it meets water vapor. Continuous nitrogen sealing can keep the internal dry and inert environment, slow down the electrochemical corrosion of the inner wall and prolong the service life of the unit components.
